Description of use

AIRAQc is a deep learning based solution that helps automate preanalytical quality checks in the anatomic pathology laboratory. The solution identifies and quantifies commonly encountered processing and digitisation artefacts in whole slide images. The solution can identify commonly encountered tissue processing artefacts like folds, pen marks, knife lines, air bubbles in addition to artefacts introduced while scanning glass slides, like blur/out of focus and missing tissue artefact. It is applicable to H&E and IHC stained images of tissue sections from humans and other species. The solution helps the laboratory technologist automate preanalytical checks and hence enables coverage of 100 percent of digitised images in these quality checks at a fraction of the time needed for manual checks, thus bringing in efficiency and improving turnaround time.
