MitPro is an AI-powered tool that helps pathologists analyse digital images of haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained tissue. It detects mitotic figures across the whole tissue section and automatically identifies three hotspot regions with the highest activity. These hotspots are typically circular and have a fixed area (2 mm², or 1 mm² for melanoma), but in core biopsies they are adapted to match the shape of the tissue. Users can also define their own regions of interest, with results calculated instantly. All findings are displayed in an interactive viewer, allowing easy review of the whole slide image alongside the AI results.
For each hotspot, MitPro provides the mitotic count, area, and density (mitotic count per area).
