Artificial intelligence for automated evaluation of aortic measurements in 2D echocardiography: Feasibility, accuracy, and reproducibility
This study evaluated the feasibility, accuracy, and reproducibility of Ligence Heart’s fully automated software for measuring aortic dimensions in 2D transthoracic echocardiography, comparing results to those of board-certified cardiologists. Measurements of the aortic annulus, sinus, sinotubular junction, and ascending aorta showed that the AI closely matched the expert cardiologist’s readings, with high reproducibility. The results suggest that this AI-based approach can streamline aortic measurements, enhancing workflow efficiency in clinical settings by reducing manual variability and saving time.
